Designing the Village
Designing the Village is a project launched by the Westport Arts Council to promote a sense of community and safe pedestrian access in Central Village. In cooperation with local businesses, organizations and residents, Designing the Village will install new street furniture and public art in at least 4 locations in Central Village by November 2006. Designing the Village is the first phase in a long-range town project to get sidewalks, pathways and street lighting in Central Village. It is supported by a grant from the Helen E. Ellis Charitable Trust and endorsed by the Board of Selectman, the Planning Board, and a growing list of neighborhood associations and organizations. Learn more... |
